Booking
In order to book air ticket it is necessary that you provide your agent with the following:
- Your name and family name
- Date of departure
- Date of arrival
- Contact phone number
For specific categories of passengers agencies allow special discounts in which case the date of birth is needed, too.
On what does the price of the air ticket depend on?
1. Season of traveling
Airlines usually divide season traveling in high season, low season and middle season and according to that they form the prices of their tickets
High season
- summer period from June 14 till August 31, the New Year and Christmas season.
Middle season
- period from the beginning of April till the beginning of high season
Low season
- period from the end of high season till the beginning of November.
All other periods belong to low cathegory season, when the prices of the tickets are the lowest. In the periods of high avalibilty of seats on flights, companies allow promotive prices at specific flights.
2. The length of stay MAX stay / MIN stay
Apart from availability, the length of stay also has a great effect on the price of the ticket. Minimum stay for the lowest prices, so-called MIN stay, most commonly is the Sunday rule. Sunday rule is the rule which entails that when you start your travel, you must spend Saturday to Sunday night at your final destination, i.e. you cannot come back before Sunday. In case when there is no weekend, the request for minimum stay can be 4, 3 or 2 days, but the price is then higher if you stay for a shorter period. MAX stay presents maximum date until your tickets has expired or maximal allowed length of stay at a certain price.
3. The age of the passenger
Travellers who can get a discount most frequently are:
- children up to 2 years of age - infant
- children from 2 to 12 years of age - child
- youth from 16 to 24, 25, 26 years of age - youth
- persons over the 60 to 65 years of age - senior
4. Class
Airlines on their flights usually divide their seats into three classes - first, business and economic class, and sell them at different prices.
First and business class are the most expensive, and they offer the most comfort and flexibility during traveling.
In economic class, which has the biggest number of seats, beside the service which is almost the same for every passenger, not all the seats are of the same price.
The rule is, the higher price of the seat, the better service and flexibility: longer stay, longer minimum stay, less compensation for date changes and the like.
5. Taxes
The full price which you get from you agent includes all airport taxes, which are charged as a service for boarding and the transfer of your luggage, security on the airports, special taxes on fuel etc.
Buying tickets
When you have finished booking, your agent will notify you about the ticket time limit. For the lowest prices of tickets, time limits are usually very short - from 24 hours to 3, 7 or 14 days before your travel. Booking itself is free, does not oblige passenger and at this stage you can make any changes that you wish. By booking, you practically provide the seat on the plane, but it does not protect you form any possible price change. During making your reservation, ask your agent to inform you about all travel conditions, maximum validity of your ticket, possibility of changing the dates, compensation for changing, conditions for refunding in case of canceling the travel etc.
Ways of payment
All prices of air tickets are presented either in euros or in local currency, but the full price including taxes is presented in dinars. Due to possible changes of exchange rates, some insignificant changes in prices presented in dinars may also be possible, about which you will be informed prior to buying your ticket by your agent. Payment is in dinars, in cash, to a bank account of the agency or by credit cards. The purchased air ticket presents a contract between a passenger and the airline, by which both sides take responsibilities, duties and rights which come from that contract.
Electronic air ticket
Electronic air ticket is a ticket without the paper coupons. From June 1, 2008, paper ticket has completely been discarded and electronic air tickets have been used instead.
E-ticket is modern, safe, fast and efficient way of communicating among agent, airline and passengers, which enables direct transmission of all data about your traveling at the moment of issuing the ticket.
E- ticket saves your money and your time, makes your travel safer, more secure, more comfortable and it increases efficiency for your agent and their ability to meet all your requirements.
By buying e- ticket you get ITR printed itinerer ( a kind of printed confirmation) of your travel, which contains all important data about the travel. Using e- ticket expenses are significantly reduced, check-in is easier, and the risk of losing the ticket is practically non-existent.
Advantages of e- ticket
1. Low travel prices
By introducing e-ticket airlines have significantly reduced their expenses, which has automatically led to lower prices for tickets for our passengers.
2. Saving time
During a purchase at the agency , you get a confirmation about issuing the ticket which can be delivered by mail, fax or e-mail. This confirmation is of informative character and it contains the code of your reservation, flight number, time of departure and arrival.
3. Data safety
All data about your travel are momentarily sent to airline system, which practically means complete security and safety of information till the end of your travel.
4. Quick and easy check-in
When checking-in, a traveller hands over his/her luggage and identifies him/herself only by the passport or the code of reservation which he/she gets from the agent and immediately gets the ticket for boarding the plane.
The risk of losing the ticket, which implies extra expenses, and any inconveniencies for the passenger are completely eliminated. All data stay in the system of the airline until the end of your travel. With e-ticket your travel is safe and secure , and the decision to travel can be made just before the plane takes off. For all extra information, you may contact us by phone or e-mail.
Baggage
On your ticket there is a limitation of how much baggage you can take to your travel. Depending on the class, allowed maximum is about 20 kilos for economic and about 30 kilos for business class, considering that the flight is across Europe. For further destinations, a piece-concept is applied, i. e. number of bags entitled by the passenger's ticket. Most commonly, these are two pieces of baggage, each piece weighing no more than 23 kilos and whose size does not exceed dimensions defined in airline rules. Allowed weight of cabin baggage is 10 kilos. In case when you have more baggage than it is allowed, you pay an extra charge for that at the airport.
Choice of the seat and meals on the plane
When making a reservation for long flights, most airlines also offer an option of booking specific seat in the plane as well as the option of choosing kind of a meal to be served. If you wish to specify your seat in advance, or to choose special kind of food to be served for you, just ask your agent in advance to present your request to the airline and they will confirm if the required service is available.
Check-in
Check in desk is where you hand over your luggage, identify yourself by personal identity card and air ticket, i.e. place where you check in for flight. After you have checked in and handed over your luggage, you will receive boarding pass - coupon for boarding the plane - and you will get baggage tags for your luggage.
Boarding pass
Boarding pass which you get on check-in desk, apart from your name, has also number of your flight, scheduled departure time, your seat number and gate number on it.
Gate
Gate, i.e. exit is a section at the airport for transferring passengers and airline crews to an aircraft. Each gate is marked with letters and numbers ( A5, B26, C15, ETC ) and there are very visible signs which will lead you them.
Flight cancellations
If you flight is cancelled for any reason ( extraordinary circumstances, bad weather and the like ) the airline will offer first next option for your travel and in case that is not possible or if that does not suit you, company will fully refund your expenses . Also, in the case of connecting flights, if due to delays you miss the connection to your final destination, airline will offer the best and the shortest option to finish your travel.
Lost baggage
If you have arrived at your destination, and your baggage has not, you must report missing baggage at LOST BAGGAGE service at the airport. According to international regulations, the airline has a time limit of 7 days to find lost baggage and return it to its owner. After this time has expired, and in case the baggage is still missing, airline will refund for the damage caused.
